Colombia. The Bogotá Audiovisual Market, BAM, announced the projects and contents that will be part of this audiovisual market, considered the most important in Colombia and the second most important in Latin America, which will be made from the 9 to the 13 in July.

The quality and diversity found in the proposals of the participants were highlighted by the national and international juries of this platform of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá and Proimágenes Colombia, with the support of the Film Development Fund.

Within the framework of the Spain Colombia Culture Focus Program, this year the BAM will have an important delegation of Spanish audiovisual professionals who will arrive in Bogotá to explore the Colombian market in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of audiovisual industries.

BAM talent
According to Paula Zupnik, from Argentina, one of the jurors who is a film content consultant for Latin America, "in the BAM Screenings category, this edition of the BAM presents high-quality films in technical terms, in evident growth, and raw operas. with scripts and stories that surprise, beautiful stories that show an authentic Colombia ", both in documentary and in fiction."

In this category there will be thirteen films in postproduction stage or finalized, which will be projected privately before sales agents and festivals that are interested in letting the world know about the new crop of Colombian cinema. The Video Library, on the other hand, will have 100 content of the latest in Colombian audiovisual production, including 8 feature films, 29 shorts, 53 TV series and 10 web series, which will be available for viewing by the accredited BAM through the Festival Scope Pro platform between the June 11 and the 31 of October of 2018. Additionally, in the BAM Projects category, the market will have 28 film and 13 television projects in an advanced stage of development, which will be connected with potential co-producers, funds and television channels. With this the BAM continues to encourage international co-productions and strengthen the processes of Colombian productions. In the Workshop of festivals, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia in the BAM, eight events of this type of different cities of Colombia will participate. They will be joined by six festivals from Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Uruguay to be part of a training space for the strengthening of their events, in which the organizers will have the opportunity to reflect together with national and international experts on the challenges they face in the film industry and other aspects related to festivals such as distribution windows.

For the BAM Stories category, 12 preselected scripts were chosen in the fiction script writing mode of the Call for the Film Development Fund (FDC) 2016 and / or 2017.
