Latin America. 2017 was a great year for the virtual reality and augmented reality market, since the content and consumer applications of both technologies reached US $ 3,2 billion during that year.

This is clear from the latest report on the topic of IHS market specialist Markit, which also highlights that the worldwide consumer spending on VR headsets reached US $ 2,4 billion in 2017.

The report predicts that worldwide consumer spending on VR headsets will reach US $ 5.9 billion for the 2021 year. This will be driven by the continued adoption of PC, console and independent hearing aids as hardware prices fall, technology improves and content is more attractive.
