Colombia. A total of 91 nominations for the India Catalina Awards of the Colombian Audiovisual Industry in their 2018 version received the public television channels, which confirms the good moment that the production of regional content in Colombia passes.

The National Television Authority held these nominations, which highlighted that public channels today bet on the creation of their own content and identity for Colombians, an element that will be recognized in this event that has been rewarding 30 for more than a year. of Colombian television.

On this occasion, the number of nominations for each channel is as follows: Telecaribe: 34; Colombia Sign: 17; Capital Channel: 13; Telepacífico 10; Teleantioquia: 6; Institutional signal: 5; Telephones: 3; 13 channel: 2 and Telecafé: 2.

It should be noted that this is the first time that Teleislas, since its creation at the 2003, has obtained three applications and it is also the first time that the production of content in the native language of San Andrés, Creole, has been recognized in these awards. The nominations of this regional channel are in turn a recognition of the quality work that has been done from the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, highlighting the cultural richness of the raizales and its people through Public TV, phenomenon that is replicated throughout the Colombian territory with the evolution of productions of all regional channels.

The prizes will be presented on the next March 3, in the city of Cartagena, during the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival (FICCI), which will be released in its 34 version.
