Colombia. The National Television Authority, ANTV, announced that this year it will allocate 3.600 million to the Fund for the Development of Television, FonTV, with the aim of promoting contents that narrate us as a society, from an inclusive, close, human perspective and in which the quality content prevails.
Public TV Reloaded is the new television quality audiovisual content driven by the National Television Authority and the call for promotion of industry and audiovisual content, which makes significant investments creating spaces that educate, entertain and strengthen the culture and traditions of the country, recognizing the work of those who create new content.
"Public TV is recharged to remain one of the best in the continent, betting decidedly to invest in quality content, to promote this sector and recognize the work of those who believe in favor of a better country, also constitutes an invaluable contribution to memory historical, strengthens our democracy and defends our cultural sovereignty, "said Angela Maria Mora Soto, director of the ANTV.
It is important to note that between 2013 and 2014 the ANTV, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, financed 19 productions with the resources of the Fund for the development of Television and Content. From 2016, the ANTV launched the Call for Encourages, in its first version received 72 proposals of which 14 was selected in four categories that received resources for $ 1.672 million pesos.
In the 2017 promoting the television industry was reflected in two calls for content production, in which the investment amounted to $ 2.600 million pesos, with a historical record of 72 19 applications and funded productions.
"The National Television Authority opened its call for promoting and financing for the production of audiovisual content for television 2017 and invited operators of public television service non-closed open profit (local) and (community), companies producing audiovisual content and new creators and ethnic groups that have the technical and operational capacity to produce audiovisual content, "added the director of ANTV.
The 19 productions funded at a special gala in Cartagena under the Andinalink fair recognition of five series that stand out for their quality and social impact was made: 'Life is a meme', 'Protected' , 'Flow Recargado', 'El Buen Verdugo' and 'Burrócratas'.
