The report predicts that worldwide consumer spending on VR headsets will reach US $ 5.9 billion for the 2021 year. This will be driven by the continued adoption of PC, console and independent hearing aids as hardware prices fall, technology improves and content is more attractive.
An AR market driven by smart phones offers a large addressable audience, but this scale will be offset by more limited use cases for handheld and small screen AR experiences.
