Argentina. Silvana Giudici, head of the National Communications Agency, Enacom, visited the city of Ushuaia, where she met with the winners of the Simplified FM Radio Contest to deliver their respective licenses within the framework of the FM Radio Regularization Program.
The 7 radios that received this certification, correspond to the cities of Rio Grande (3), Ushuaia (2) and Tolhuin (2):
- 106.1 MHz (Rio Grande)
- 98.7 MHz (Rio Grande)
- 99.1 MHz (Rio Grande)
- 95.7 MHz (Tolhuin)
- 90.3 MHz (Tolhuin)
- 90.3 MHz (Ushuaia)
- 91.1 MHz (Ushuaia)
The president of Enacom congratulated the advances of the plan: "We are paying off a debt of democracy that was normalizing the situation of existing radios and we opened simplified competitions in seven provinces to increase the plurality of voices."
The licenses granted are part of the 79 that have already been delivered through simplified competitions in the provinces of Catamarca, Corrientes and Jujuy. In addition, in Chaco, Chubut, La Pampa and San Luis the competitions will be opened next June 11. Likewise, within the FM Regularization Plan, definitive licenses 47 Precarious and Provisional Permits (PPP) were converted throughout the country.
