Latin America. When buying a television, many questions arise regarding the technologies that currently exist in the market. There are big differences that are based on the quality of the image, the intensity of the colors, the duration of life of the screen and its easy handling.

Samsung QLED televisions have Quantum Dot technology or nanocrystals that improve the filtering of light from the LED panel, which provides more vivid and bright colors, preserving the accuracy of color at any level of brightness of the screen. In this way, a greater clarity and detail is produced, generating a better contrast of the image in all kinds of scenes and in any ambient light conditions.

In addition to offering better image quality, quantum dot technology is developed with inorganic components, so its performance is superior to other technologies over time. Technologies that have organic particles are more likely to degrade with use and the passage of time; even, it can generate 'burn in' or screen burn that produces marks on the screens due to the deterioration of the pixels.

How does it work?
A QLED or LED screen is composed of numerous layers: the outer ones with the function of protecting the panel, a liquid crystal panel that contains the sub-pixels, one or several polarizing filters, a diffuser that helps to diffuse the brightness throughout the screen and A series of LED lamps that allow you to emit your own light.

The QLED technology includes an additional layer of Quantum dots. In this way, each of these particles is able to emit a specific color according to its size and with a high brightness, which works to extend the color spectrum and improve the brightness and contrast.

How does Samsung use Quantum dots?
The nanocrystals of these devices are capable of emitting a powerful red and green light very pure. These primary colors (RGB) can not only create images with a surprising color, but it does not degrade their quality by increasing the brightness of the image as in any other technology.

The visual quality of the screen does not diminish. On the contrary, the QLED Quantum dots / LED combination makes them uniquely bright, maintaining their color in any condition and providing chromatic fidelity.
